Medaka Box has two completed series and the 3rd currently in the works. For this review I will try my best not to spoil the story too much. If you like Action, Comedy, and Romance give this show a shot. Please keep in mind that Season 1 is a bit slower when it come to action (compared to season 2) but it is worth the wait and there is more than enough to keep you entertained. I wouldn't recommend skipping it because you with miss out on a shit load of details.

Sankarea - My thoughts
General Summary:
Chihiro Furuya has been interested in zombies ever since he was a young boy. He has even thought about having a romantic relationship with a real zombie girl. After the death of his pet cat Babu, Chihiro attempts to revive him with a potion found in a book he found a year before. Problem is the page that contains the last ingredient is ruined. On his journey he meets a girl named Rea Sanka, whom he joking asks to test the potion once he finished, but she accepts.
My thoughts:
So I started watching this on Thursday and before I knew it the same night I finished it. I love the different approach to what a zombie is compared to the main stream definition. Give this show a shot you won't regret it.

Durarara Final Thoughts
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JC2RslsakQ
General Summary:Mikado Ryugamine long for a exciting and moves to the city of Ikebukuro. Reunited with his childhood friend Masaomi Kida, they attend Raira Academy. Masaomi warns Mikado about this strange city. Ikebukuro is home to a "super human" named Shizuo Heiwajima, a mysterious gang know as The Dollars, a information broker named Izaya Orihara, and the Black Rider rumored to have no head. But there is more in this mysterious city.
My Thoughts:I just recently finished this show and I'm glad I picked it up! But I want to know more about the series so I will have to read the manga. The series is full of twist and surprises which were executed perfectly.I found it interesting that any character that didn't play a role in the series were gray. Loved the art style and music and I would probably watch it again dubbed. There is a lot of conversation in most of the episodes.

Gurren Lagann a series I enjoyed from start to finish without a dull or slow moment .When there is a dull moment it quickly cuts back to more action in a different scene to explain the plot more. There was nothing I found unclear about this when I was done watching this saga

Air Gear - Final Thoughts (warning must read manga to finish)
General Summary:
A new fad by the name of 'Air Treks'(think of jet set radio) has swept the nation. Using their A-Ts many groups and gangs were formed to compete in various events. Ikki is a middle school boy who is the toughest street-fighting punk on the east side of town. Ikki lives with four sisters that took him in when he was a kid. Unknown to him they were a part of the most infamous A-T gang called Sleeping Forest.
My Thoughts:
I was a big Jet Set Radio fan and this anime embodied the game in music, style and spirit. But for you to finish the story you have to read the manga. Besides that I enjoyed the show.

Ixion Saga DT - First Impressions
General Summary:
One day as Kon Hokaze is playing an MMORPG, he receives a request from a female character in the game. He thinks that he has lucked out and found a girlfriend online, but suddenly he finds himself transported into the world of Mira where he accidentally saves a young princess by landing on her attacker with his swivel chair. With no idea how he got there nor how to get back to his own world, Kon tags along with the princess as part of her honor guard while a militant faction of the princess's own country seeks to capture her before she can complete her arranged marriage.
My Thoughts:
If you need something funny, crazy and a bit out there this show is for you. What other fantasy anime has a princess with a transgender maid that fights with pistols akimbo style? I'm warning you now this show will more than likely be the complete opposite of what you think it will be (in an awesome way!). There's a lot of anime and "nerd" references but it's just the right amount.

Michiko to Hatchin Final Thoughts
General Summary:
Hana Morenos is an adopted girl who lives with her abusive foster family, and has lost any hope of gaining her freedom. The family receives a strange call from a lady who claims to be Hana’s mother, saying that she will pick her up the following day. The lady turns out to be Michiko Malandros, a feisty and sexy inmate who successfully escaped from the supposedly “inescapable” Diamandra Prison. After forcefully freeing Hana from the household, the two embark on a perilous journey to track down a man who is deeply embedded into their past.
My Thoughts:
I'm not sure how I stumbled on this amazing story four years back but I'm glad I did. Produced by the makers of Samurai Champloo, Michiko to Hatchin is something you should put on your To Watch list. The art work has a nice South American mix to it and the action and drama pull you. The ending for the show was perfect!

After the two take a job as bodyguards for and engage in a brief skirmish with Pirates, Gene and Jim find themselves the owners of a ship Gene nicknames the "Outlaw Star" and the caretakers of a mysterious girl named Melfina. Throughout the course of the series, the crew grows to include the kimono-garbed contract killer "Twilight" Suzuka and Aisha Clanclan, a catgirl of the Ctarl-Ctarl alien race.
My Thoughts:
Sorry for the Toonami trailer I know some of you feel really old right now lol. I loved this show and I'm glad I found the series online for my collection. Outlaw Star has a bit of everything in it: Action to Drama, Romance to Comedy. This is a must see classic.

Psycho-Pass - First Impressions
General Summary:
In the near future it is possible to measure a person’s mental state, to determine the probability if they would commit a crime or not. This measure is called a “Crime Coefficient”. When a person’s Crime Coefficient is too high a law enforcement group then dispatched to capture the possible criminal. The law enforcement group is made of Inspectors and Enforcers. Think of Enforcer as the hunting dogs. They’re a group of people used to capture criminals. Because their Crime Coefficient is high they are under the supervision of Inspectors.
Thoughts so Far:
If you liked the Minority Report you will love this show. It's full of action and mystery and I'm glad I stumbled onto the show. Technology in the show is a bit mind blowing and cool. Don't worry about a slow start the show jumps right into the action.

Eureka Seven Ao - Final Thoughts
Fan made video.
The song used is Rumina - DJ Whitesmith
I think it fits well with the OST used for the show. Awesome job Zolmation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOo4rchaG0w
General Summary:
Ao Fukai is a 13 year old boy living in the year 2025 in Okinawa with Dr. Toshio Fukai ever since Ao’s mother Eureka disappeared 10 years ago. One day a mysterious group called Generation Blue attacks the local Scub Coral changing Ao’s life forever.
My Thoughts *SPOILLERS*:
As an anime (not taking into account it’s suppose to be a sequel)-
Getting passed the confusing and slow start I did enjoy the show. The fighting scenes were well done, and the soundtrack the great. Towards the end I was hating how with each episode ending I wanted to find out more.
As a sequel-
To be honest as a sequel from the anime I didn't like the approach they took. It's like they forgot about the all the original characters. Then the constant time shifts, the fact the Eureka and Renton seemed very selfish to me. For example when Ao wanted to save his parents, Renton let him like everything was completely fine. I'm glad the show came out, and not taking into account the original anime I did enjoy it, but I would have preferred a movie or short OVA about what happened right after the events of the original series. But that's just my take on the series. I would like to know yours.

Highschool of the Dead Final Thoughts
Fan made trailer
General Summary:
This show follows a group of high school students, a nurse and a young girl as they try to find a safe haven from a sudden zombie out break. At first everything seems unreal but when the school is quickly over run some struggle to adjust to the new reality and others reluctantly grasp it.
My thoughts:
A lot of people people are turned off by the sexual content in the show but if you can get pass that you will enjoy it. A lot of the events of the show really make you think about what life would be like at the start of a zombie out break. This show has everything from action to drama and from comedy to psychological!

FLCL - Final Thoughts
General Summary:
Naota is you average 12 year old boy living with his father and grandfather in the city of Mabase. Life is turned up side down when the "Vespa Woman" Haruko crashes in him with her scooter and then bashes him in the skull with a guitar. Each time Haruko hits Naota strange machines from a strange company called Medical Mechanica escape from a portal created in his head.
Further into the Story and My Thoughts (Spoilers):
Haruko is using Naota in hopes to find the Pirate King, Atomsk. Although the plot is serious the show never takes its self seriously. The first time I saw the show I was honestly lost when it came to the plot, but the show was entertaining, the music was great, and the humor made this one of my favorite shows of all time. By the way I'm now a big Pillows fan. If you're looking for something short, action packed, surreal, with great music, this show is for you!

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt - final thoughts
General Summary:
Due to their bad behavior Panty and Stocking Anarchy are sent to Daten City to slay evil ghost, to pay their way back into heaven. Under watched by the priest Garterbelt the sisters use their lingerie weapons and usually cause chaos in the city. With Panty's lust for men and Stocking's glutton tendencies for sugar, the sister rarely make any progress.
My Thoughts:
The show is awesome and very hilarious. Sometimes I like to think of this show like a powerpuff girls gone wrong type show. In a good way. I love the music used in the show. One my favorite characters in the show hands down is Chuck. Also I love the animation style they picked for the show it fits so well.

Samurai Champloo Final Thoughts
General Summary:
This show follows the journey of Mugen, Jin, Fuu. Fuu saved Mugen and Jin from being executed for inadvertently killing a crooked officer's son, by fighting in a tea shop. To pay back Fuu, Jin and Mugen have to help her find "the samurai who smells of sunflowers". During their travels they meet some very interesting people, and find themselves in strange situations.
My Thoughts:
I love this anime. The story was created by the same guys who did Cowboy Bebop and they did a fantastic job of mixing the Edo period with modern hip hop. I became fans of a lot of great artist through this anime such as: Tsutchie, Nujabes, Fat Jon, FORCE OF NATURE, MINMI, and many others. The action scenes are top notch with a nice hip hop flow to them. At times I wish the show was a bit longer.

Oniai First Impressions
Oniichan dakedo Ai sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!
Here on ani-talk I like to mix it up. I can get bored with one genre fairly quick so I try to watch almost any and everything. With that said I bring you Oniichan dakedo Ai sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! or Oniai for short. The english translation is something along the line of As Long as There's Love, It Doesn't Matter If He's My Brother Right!
General Plot:
Akito has been separated from his sister Akiko for six years and decides to let her move in his dorm with him. Akiko excited and is filled with joy over the fact that she will finally she her older brother whom she wants a relationship with. With no shame in that fact she can't wait to live alone with her brother, but sadly Akito's dorm is filled with his close friends from school....... All of his roommates are women....... All of them want the same thing Akiko wants. Sadly Akito isn't interested in a romantic relationship with anyone in the house, but all the lady's including his sister still fight over him.
My Thoughts so far:
This show is hilarious. Yes I think it would be creepy if someone was in love with their sibling but this is anime relax. All of the girls in the dorm are completely different so seeing how they compete for Akito's attention although he doesn't want it is very entertaining.

Spike, Jet, Faye, and Ed and a team of bounty hunters traveling through space on a ship called the Bebop. Mainly driven by money and a small since of justice the team works together (sometimes) to bring down their targets.
Further into the story (minor spoilers):
Spike is a former mafia member and with his close friend Vicious they ruled with a iron fist. After being betrayed and almost dying he decided to walk away. Later in the series his past comes back to hunt him. Jet is a former police officer that retired due to a mob hit that cost him his arm. In part of the series she decided to investigate her past because of her memory lost. Edward is a young computer hacker from Earth. With a strange past and personality Ed completes the mismatched crew of the Bebop.
Final Thoughts:
I love this classical anime and this was the show that started my interest into anime. The show has everything from action to drama, comedy to romance, western to noir, and everything in between. The music is amazing, and I still revisit the show from time to time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=iDtW4D7uLTI#!
General Summary:
Ryota Sakamoto is a 22-year old gamer and is one of the elite players in a first person shooter game called BTOOM! Think of the game like Master Chief (from halo) look alikes that fight with a various array of grenades. One day Sakamoto wakes up on a tropical island with a case full of what looks like bombs from the game.
Further Look Into The Story (SPOILERS):
The game makers of BTOOM! are seeking to either improve or find a new entertainment gateway for their product. To do so they take people put them on the island and make them play for real. To get off the island you most collect a set amount of chips from other players by killing them. Each and every person on the island was sent there by someone who wanted them to disappear.
My Thoughts:
I am currently on episode 9 and things have been getting more interesting with each and every episode. I can't wait til next week. The show does have a Batoru rowaiaru (Battle Royale) feel to it which I love.

Eureka Seven Final Thoughts
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-zmMVZpeb8 (Fan made Trailer)
General Summary:
Renton Thurston is a fourteen year boy growing up in a very dull place called Bell Forest. Renton is the son of Adrock Thurston a researcher for the military who died in a testing accident, saving the world when Renton was very young. With little to do in his small town Renton takes up a sport called Lifting. One of his role models is a legendary lifter named Holland. Holland is the leader of the renegade group Gekkostate. One day a member of the Gekko by the name of Eureka crashes her mech into his room. The world as he knows it is forever turned upside down.
Why You Should Watch:
I would highly recommend this show to anyone who loves a romance story with a nice touch of action. Although the world is completely different from ours Dai Sato and the rest of the team made it extremely easy to develop a deep connection with most of the characters. With each episode you see each character slowly grow as if you where aboard the Gekko with them. The sound track is awesome with works from Supercar, Bivattchee, Flow, Denki Groove, and many others. If you haven't seen this series yet the first two episodes may bore you bit. At least that's the experience I had when I first saw it or introduced it to others but they are important. Also don't fret over Sub v.s Dub with this show the dialog pretty much stays the same. I have watched Euerka Seven about 10 times half Subbed and half Dubbed.
Final Thoughts:
I have not fully read the manga so I can't tell you witch is better but the anime does have a completely different approach to the story. The same with the movie and Eureka Seven Ao (will cover another day).
With that being said the anime alone is awesome. It does get a little confusing here and there but other than that I have no complaints! Besides the fact that the "sequel" Ao isn't really clear on what was kept from the original story and what got the boot (If you have seen Eureka Seven take a look at Ao episode 0 - New Order to understand what I mean). Watching Eureka with others no matter if they didn't like anime or didn't like the genre, everyone pretty much reacted the same to the show.
